Runners must be aware of the risks and obligations that accompany taking part in the 18th Kathmandu Marathon 2026 or any other event listed in this application or registration, and the participation will be on their own risk and responsibility.
Runners are adviced to recognize the danger of having participated in a course with traffic, even if it is regulated or policed.
Runners must understand that to compete in such a physically demanding event they are required to be trained and have a sufficient degree of fitness.
Runners are requested to get a medical clearance from a registered medical practitioner.
18th Kathmandu Marathon 2026 or NRS Sports Foundation Pvt. Ltd. along with its associated members, sponsors, employees that are involved with the event will not be held responsible for any kinds of nature related calamities or an kind of illness, injury, death or otherwise of the runners and their group of people.
Runners must agree to the terms that if they themselves or their group of people or friends suffers from any kind of injury or taken ill will they pay for the medical and emergency costs.
Runners are accepted to accept that nothing in this agreement will obligate the event's organizers or officials to pay any costs or provide any transportation or medical care.
Runners agree and permits to share their information that has been provided by them to any entiy that are in association of NRS Sports Foundation and 18th Kathmandu Marathon 2026.
Runners agree and permits NRS Sports Foundation and the 18th Kathmandu Marathon 2026 to share their photographs that may have been clicked on the event day for promotional purpose.
Runner agree on they will not hold any event sponsors responsible for the loss of their entry form or fee transit.
Runners and their ward accept the rules and guidelines of the event.
Participants must collect their T-shirt and bib number between 2nd October and 3rd October.
If a participant is unable to attend on these dates, they may send someone else on their behalf to collect the items. The representative must carry a valid authorization or registration confirmation. Please note: Bibs will not be distributed after 3rd October under any circumstances.
Any participant wishing to submit an appeal regarding the official results must complete the prescribed form and deposit NPR 10,000 within 30 minutes of the announcement of the results. The appeal will be reviewed by the Jury Committee, whose decision shall be final. If the appeal is upheld, the deposit will be fully refunded; otherwise, the deposit shall be forfeited and will not be refunded.
Runners agree not to transfer, sell, exchange, lend, or allow another person to use their bib without prior approval from organizers, and violation may result in disqualification and loss of results, medals, certificates, or prizes.
Participants must follow the official race route and all instructions provided by race officials and organizers. Any participant who deviates from the designated route, takes shortcuts, misses checkpoints, or otherwise fails to complete the official race route will be disqualified and will not be eligible for any ranking, award, prize, or winner's position, regardless of their finishing time.
Participants must wear their official race bib clearly on the front of their shirt throughout the entire race. If the bib is lost, not visible, or improperly worn, the timing chip may not be detected, and official timing/results may not be recorded.
