Waiver (Must be signed for entry acceptance)

I declare, confirm and agree as follows and I/my ward .....
I have fully understood the risk and responsibility of participating in 18th Kathmandu Marathon 2026 or any event outlined in this application (collectively "the event") and will be participating entirely at my/his/her risk and responsibility.

(i) I understand that I/my ward must be, and must train to, an appropriate level of fitness to participate in such a physically demanding event, and I/my ward have obtained a medical clearance from a registered medical practitioner, allowing me to participate in the event/s.

(ii) I indemnify for myself/ourselves and our legal representatives, and waive all claims of whatsoever nature against any and all Sponsors of the/any event, all political entities, authorities and officials, all contractors and construction firms working on or near the course, all 18th Kathmandu Marathon 2026 Organizing Committee persons, officials and volunteers, and all other agents and representatives of all or any of the aforementioned, including, but not limited to, any claims that might result from me/my ward participating in the event, whether on account of illness, injury, death or otherwise.

(iii) Agree that if I/my ward is injured or taken or otherwise suffers any detriment whatsoever, I hereby irrevocably authorize the event officials and organizers to, at my risk and cost, transport me/my ward to a medical facility and/or to administer emergency medical treatment, and I/my ward’s medical and emergency expenses shall be provided to race officials through medical data relating to my request. I agree to incur any expenses for transportation or treatment.

(iv) In case of injury due to any force majeure event including but not limited to acts of God, negligence, earthquakes, storms, typhoons or any terrorist act, none of the 18th Kathmandu Marathon 2026 Organizing Committee persons, officials, or any other persons working on or near the course, or any of the 18th Kathmandu Marathon 2026 Organizing Committee, persons, officials, and NRS Sports Foundation Pvt. Ltd, or any persons associated with the event, etc. shall be liable.

(v) Waive and irrevocably agree not to hold me/my ward or my/my ward’s representatives liable.

(vi) Shall not hold the organizers and/or any of the event sponsors liable for loss of my/his/her entry form and/or entry for the event terms and guidelines.

(vii) I understand and acknowledge the danger of participating on a course with traffic, even if such traffic is regulated or policed, and accept all risks associated with participation in the event.

(viii) I agree and permit NRS Sports Foundation Pvt. Ltd., 18th Kathmandu Marathon 2026, and entities associated with the event to use, process, and share information provided by me/my ward for purposes related to the event.

(ix) I agree and permit NRS Sports Foundation Pvt. Ltd. and 18th Kathmandu Marathon 2026 to use photographs, videos, recordings, and images of me/my ward taken during the event for promotional, marketing, media, and related purposes.

(x) I understand that participants must collect their T-shirt and bib number on the designated Bib Distribution Days. If unable to attend, a representative may collect them on their behalf with valid authorization or registration confirmation.

(xi) I understand and agree that bib numbers will not be distributed after the designated Bib Distribution Day under any circumstances.

(xii) I agree that I/my ward shall comply with and accept all event rules, regulations, terms, guidelines, and instructions issued by the organizers.

(xiii) I agree that I/my ward shall not transfer, exchange, lend, sell, or allow another person to use the assigned bib number without prior approval from the organizers. Failure to comply may result in disqualification from the event.

(xiv) I agree that any appeal regarding the official race results must be submitted through the prescribed appeal form within 30 minutes of the announcement of the results, along with a deposit of NPR 10,000. The appeal shall be reviewed by the Jury Committee, whose decision shall be final and binding. If the appeal is upheld, the deposit will be refunded; otherwise, it shall be forfeited and will not be refunded.

(xv) I agree that I/my ward must follow the official race route and all course instructions provided by the organizers. Any participant found to have deviated from the designated route, taken shortcuts, or otherwise failed to complete the official race route shall be disqualified from the event and shall not be eligible for any ranking, award, prize, or winner's position, regardless of their finishing time.

Event Rules

  • Runners must be aware of the risks and obligations that accompany taking part in the 18th Kathmandu Marathon 2026 or any other event listed in this application or registration, and the participation will be on their own risk and responsibility. 

  • Runners are adviced to recognize the danger of having participated in a course with traffic, even if it is regulated or policed. 

  • Runners must understand that to compete in such a physically demanding event they are required to be trained and have a sufficient degree of fitness. 

  • Runners are requested to get a medical clearance from a registered medical practitioner. 

  • 18th Kathmandu Marathon 2026 or NRS Sports Foundation Pvt. Ltd. along with its associated members, sponsors, employees that are involved with the event will not be held responsible for any kinds of nature related calamities or a kind of illness, injury, and death or otherwise of the runners and their group of people. 

  • Runners must agree to the terms that if they themselves or their group of people or friends suffers from any kind of injury or taken ill will they pay for the medical and emergency costs. 

  • Runners are accepted to accept that nothing in this agreement will obligate the event's organizers or officials to pay any costs or provide any transportation or medical care. 

  • Runners agree and permit to share their information that has been provided by them to any entiy that are in association of NRS Sports Foundation and 18th Kathmandu Marathon 2026. 

  • Runners agree and permits NRS Sports Foundation and the 18th Kathmandu Marathon 2026 to share their photographs that may have been clicked on the event day for promotional purpose. 

  • Runner agree on they will not hold any event sponsors responsible for the loss of their entry form or fee transit. 

  • Runners and their ward accept the rules and guidelines of the event.

  • Participants must collect their T-shirt and bib number between 2nd October and 3rd October.

  • If a participant is unable to attend on these dates, they may send someone else on their behalf to collect the items. The representative must carry a valid authorization or registration confirmation.
    Please note: Bibs will not be distributed after 3rd October under any circumstances.

  • Any participant wishing to submit an appeal regarding the official results must complete the prescribed form and deposit NPR 10,000 within 30 minutes of the announcement of the results. The appeal will be reviewed by the Jury Committee, whose decision shall be final. If the appeal is upheld, the deposit will be fully refunded; otherwise, the deposit shall be forfeited and will not be refunded.

  • Runners agree not to transfer, sell, exchange, lend, or allow another person to use their bib without prior approval from organizers, and violation may result in disqualification and loss of results, medals, certificates, or prizes.

  • Participants must follow the official race route and all instructions provided by race officials and organizers. Any participant who deviates from the designated route, takes shortcuts, misses checkpoints, or otherwise fails to complete the official race route will be disqualified and will not be eligible for any ranking, award, prize, or winner's position, regardless of their finishing time.
