    What is a marathon?

    A marathon is a long-distance running event which has become one of the most popular and challenging endurance events in the world.

    What is the route of the marathon?

    The marathon starts from Tripureshwor Kathmandu - Patan - Bhaktapur- Thimi - and  back to Tripureshwor Kathmandu. The route goes through all the three major heritage cities.

    What is the start time for the marathon?

    The start time for this year's Marathon, Marathon Masters, Half Marathon, and Half Marathon Masters is 5:00 AM sharp. 

    The start time for this year's 5K(School/Master/Open), 3K Family Run and 3K Open is 6:00 AM sharp.

    What is the registration fee for the marathon?

    The registration fee for this year differs according to race categories. Check Here you can make the payment through esewa, bank transfer or you can visit our office - Nepal Squash and Recquet Association, Satdobato, Lalitpur.

    How do I register for the marathon?

    How do I prepare for a marathon?

    Gearing up for a marathon could be challenging, but with the correct planning and preparation, you can make it fun. These actions will assist you in getting ready for a marathon:

    1.Create a training schedule: Make a training schedule that incorporates long runs, tempo workouts, and speed work while gradually increasing your mileage.

    2.Follow your plan: When it comes to training for a marathon, consistency is important. Keep to your schedule and don't forget to add downtime.

    3.Including cross-training: Cross-training can help you increase your strength, stamina, and ability to avoid injuries. Think about incorporating sports like yoga, cycling, or swimming into your training regimen.

    4.Concentrate on nutrition: A healthy, balanced diet is crucial for supplying your body with the fuel it needs during marathon training. Make sure to eat a lot of protein, healthy fats, and carbohydrates.

    What should I wear during the marathon?

    The appropriate gear selection is essential for a successful and comfortable marathon. For advice on what to wear during a marathon, see the following:

    1.Running Shoes: Make an investment in a pair of supportive, comfortable running sneakers. Before the marathon, be careful to break them in.

    2.Use apparel made of moisture-wicking materials to help you stay dry and avoid chafing. Cotton should be avoided since it might become uncomfortable and heavy.

    3.Hat or Visor: A hat or visor can assist keep sweat out of your eyes and shade your face from the sun.

    Keep in mind that the clothing you choose to wear on race day should be cozy, breathable, and appropriate for the weather. Constantly test your gear during training runs to make sure it won't irritate or annoy you during the marathon.

    Will there be aid stations along the route?

    Yes there will be volunteers all along the route providing you aids if needed and directions

    When will I receive my finisher certificate?

    Awards Ceremony will be held immediately after the race at 10.30 AM Saturday, 28th September 2024 at Start Point

    All Finishers of the Marathon and Half Marathon will receive: finisher's certificate and finishers Medal. All Finishers of 5K Open, 5K School, 5K Masters, 3K Family Run will receive finisher's certificate.

    How do i collect my BIB ?

    Bib will be distributed 1 week before the race day.  Location will be advice soon.
